Solar Evacuated Tubes Systems
From solar hot water heating
to solar cooling, solar thermal
technology is redefining the
industry.
Ra Power solar thermal systems
can meet your family’s hot water or home heating requirements, and even heat the swimming pool. Systems can be applied to large-scale commercial developments (water heating and air conditioning) or farming operations (machinery sterilization).
At Ra Power, we know the meaning of efficiency and durability. That is why we use only award-winning Thermomax® products in all of our solar thermal systems.
How does it work?
Evacuated Tubes are absorbers that are used in solar thermal systems. Each tube has the air removed from it to eliminate heat loss. Unlike competitors who use mechanical seals or sealants to seal a disk to the top of the tube, the unique Thermomax® hermetic glass-to-metal seal ensures that a vacuum is retained within the tube throughout its operational lifetime of 25 to 30 Years. In fact, insulation properties are so effective that while the inside of the tube may reach 150°C / 304°F, the outer tube remains cold to the touch.
Ra Power uses evacuated tubes that have an inner and outer layer of high-quality European soda-lime glass. Not only does soda-lime glass outperform Chinese-made borosilicate under hail-impact testing, it also means that tubes are impermeable to helium, so there is no heat-loss.
Each solar tube is a complete and independent collector with its own heat-transfer mechanism, the thermal conductor. The thermal conductor transfers heat through a thermal conducting fluid. When ultraviolet rays fall on the surface of a tube, the liquid turns to hot vapour and rises into the manifold where the heat is transferred to glycol. The glycol flows through a coil in the tank and heats the water. When the desired temperature is reached, the fluid in the heat pipe condenses and flows back down the tube, preventing build-up and overheating.
The manifolds are made from high-grade marine-quality stainless steel to avert corrosion, and sealed in a weather resistant metal cover. Ra Power solar thermal systems are assembled using stainless-steel frames for flat roofs, peaks or ground mounts. Mounting frames are adjusted to face the optimum orientation for maximum solar radiation absorption.
A full-sized Ra Power solar thermal system can supply 100% of your annual hot water requirements, while a more moderate system can supply 60-70% of those requirements, with the remainder supplied by either gas or electrical backup. These characteristics combine to make Ra Powerinstallations truly all weather, year-round systems.

The THERMOMAX Difference
A full-sized Ra Power system
can
supply 100% of your annual
hot
water
requirements, while a
more
moderate system can
supply
60-70%
of those requirements,
with the
remainder supplied by either gas or electrical backup. These characteristics combine to make Ra Power installations truly all weather, year round systems.
The Thermomax supported systems are ideal because:
- Proven superior performance, even in adverse weather conditions due to vacuum insulation.
- More efficient than conventional flat plated collectors
- Self-limitation of maximum working temperature, achieved by the innovative use of a memory metal spring inside the condenser
- Ease of installation - each tube can be installed individually
- High durability and reliability - the high quality of the materials used in the manufacturing process has resulted in a proven lifespan of over 25 years
Ra Power has selected to work with Thermomax® because it has been a world leader in the industry for over 25 years. Combining the finest technology with hands-on expertise, Ra Power will ensure your system pays for itself several times during its lifespan.
Get peace of mind....get Ra.
